Still Catching up

Over at Simon Says Stamp the challenge is Homegrown Summer. I decided this was a great challenge to get a bit more caught up on the growing number of Summer photos we have taken.

I started out by gluing some torn book pages down. I covered the book pages with black, blue, and white acrylic paint, leaving some areas of the book pages to poke through. I then added some white paint splatters.

I used some tissue paper to write the weeks highlights on. I added in some brightly painted deli paper for a pop of color.

The pictures are printed out on muslin that I inked up a bit. I used some blue watercolor paint to add in touches of color and distress the photos a bit more. I frayed the edges and went around them with some black ink.

For just a bit more interest i drew some sketchy circles onto tissue paper and adhered that to my page.

So there you have it one more Summer week of pictures is completed. Be sure to stop on over to the challenge and as always thanks so much for stopping by!

  1. It is always such a treat to swing by your blog and see your creations! You have a great unique way of creating art and never cease to use techniques and products that I've never heard of before. You are truly an original and that's the greats compliment I can give anyone in the art world! On these pages, I adore the color palette and how you created such fascinating layers! They are striking and the pictures are incredible, too. Thank you so much for sharing your talents with us here at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog!
