Purple

Over at the Mixed Media Place the challenge is 1 - use one stencil, one stamp, and one color. My favorite color is purple and for some reason I never use purple in my art journal.

I decided to dig out some patterned purple paper. I debated about leaving the background white, but then decided to add a wash of warm gray acrylic paint. I then added in some torn dictionary paper.

I decided to scrape some white gesso onto my page to blend everything together. I used a Dylusions stencil and Dusty Concord Distress Ink.

Next I got out a my one stamp and used the Dusty Concord Distress Ink and some water to create more of a watercolor look.

I stamped and inked up a tag and then printed out the meaning of the color purple onto the tag.

I used some purple twine to spell out a few words from the meaning of the color purple.

And there you have it my purple art journal page. Thank you so very much for stopping by.
