The Beautiful Chaos of a Storm

Sometimes it is good to remember that not everything needs to be perfect. Sometimes I need to be reminded to enjoy the chaos life can bring and that in every storm there is beauty.

I started this art journal spread by scraping on some white gesso with an old credit card. I then applied some black Distress Ink and some black Dylusions Ink spray,

I painted in my city with acrylic paint.

I thought the windows in the buildings blended in to the background, so I added in a white shadow with a whiteout pen.

Next I adhered some gelli printed deli paper to a piece of white copy paper. I then used a Claudine Hellmuth  stamp and some black archival ink for the raindrops.

I fussy cut out the rain drops and adhered them to my pages.

Lastly I typed out my saying, printed it out onto the gelli printed deli paper, and adhered it to my page.

I am submitting this to the Mixed Media Monthly Challenge April Showers. As always thanks for stopping by and remember to enjoy the chaos!
