The weather in northeast Ohio this time of year is crazy! This week were almost in the 60's with sun, then rain, and today it is snowing! Just when you think Spring is here Mother Nature throws in some snow. I wanted to do a Spring art journal page and started this page yesterday when it was raining out.

I started out with a gessoed page and spritz several spring color Dylusions Ink Sprays and then let them drip down the page.

When the gesso was still wet, before I sprayed the ink on the page, I used a raindrop stamp to add some texture to the background.

I had a bunch of Dylusions Stamps out from a previous page and decided to use them again. I stamped the images onto a heavier copy paper with black Archival Ink.I colored in the stamped girls with colored pencils. And then fussy cut them out.

I used another Dylusions stamp and Black Archival ink for the flowers. I used a black pen to doodle in the ground.

I initially had stamped some clouds on the backgrouind with a hand carved stamp and some white Gesso. Since I used Dylusions Spray ink, which are not water resistant, the white gesso really did not show up and just turned the color of the ink. I decided to print out a saying by LangstonHughes on deli paper. I then stamped on the back of the deli paper with the cloud stamp and white gesso. I fussy cut the clouds out and adhered them to my page. I really like how you can still see the color behind the cloud, but the cloud is now more visible.

I am submitting this to the Artistic Stamper Spring is Coming Challenge. Be sure to stop on over there to see more wonderful creations. As always thank so much for stopping by!
