Quirky Girls with Wings

Over at the Mirror Crack'd the challenge is Wings. I decided to make an art journal page for the challenge using lots of mixed media supplies.

My background is a collage of deli paper, copy paper, and book paper that has been painted, gelli printed, and sprayed with ink.

I used several Dylusions stamps for the quirky girls.

I decided to put my own twist on the girls by using more gelli printed paper for their bodies. The wings are also a Dylusion stamp that I inked with Distress Ink.

I also added in some pointy hats and changed up the stamped faces a bit.

I made the tree like shapes with the Dylusions mushroom stamp and you guessed it more gelli printed paper. I then drew in the long stems with a paint marker. The little sprigs coming out from the bottom of the mushroom area is part of the hair form one of the Dylusions stamped girls.

Lastly I added in a fun little typed quote.

And there you have it, a quirky art journal page. I hope you enjoyed my page as much as I enjoyed creating it. As always thank you so much for stopping by!
