I started with a painted brown background. I applied some joint compound through a stencil. Once this was dry I applied a layer of clear gesso over the joint compound to seal it.
I then painted the stencil design with bright, bold colors and then stamped it with brown Archival ink.
I had some deli paper sitting on my desk that I used to clean stamps and paint brushes off.
I decided to paint this in the same bright colors and adhere it to my page behind my photo for some added interest. You can still see the stamping peeking through.
Next I added in my saying for the week with a white paint pen.
I painted my weekly planner page with the same bold colors and added in the deli paper to divide the days up. After I added in a few more photos and journaling my pages were complete.
