Trying to play catch up this week with my week in review pages in my art journal. I finished another one so I thought I would share it.
I have been printing most of the pictures for these pages in black and white or sepia, so this week I decided to print them in color. Because my pictures were in color I wanted the background to be simple. I used some grey acrylic paint and went around the edges of my journal with an old worn out paint brush. I then added in some stamping with a Tim Holtz bitty grungy stamp and some black Archival Ink.
Next I took some simple patterned paper and used the same grey paint and worn out brush on it.
My week in review planner page was also painted with the grey paint. For some color I inked it with various primary color Archival inks and used primary color paint pens to draw in zig-zags to separate the days.
I cut out the v shapes from scraps of cardstock. I used several background stamps and the same primary colors of Archival Ink to add some more dimension to them. I also inked up some rick-rack with the Archival ink. I then sewed all of this to my patterned paper.
Lastly I added in this quote I came across. I thought it was very fitting for the picture of my desk.
I am submitting this to the Craft Stamper Magazine Challenge - Anything Goes. Be sure to check out the challenge for more fun projects. AS always thank you so much for stopping by!
