Steampunk Valentine Tag

I am excited to get back into swapping this year. Because most of my stuff was in storage last year i really did not participate in too many swaps. So when the the Stamper's Anonymous Yahoo Group announced a Steampunk Valentine Tag swap I jumped at the chance to sign up.

I started out by stamping the background of the tag with a Tim Holtz Wallpaper stamp. I then used white embossing powder over the stamped image and inked the tag with Black Soot Distress Ink.

I cut the heart out of grunge baord, painted it with red acrylic paint, stamped it with a Tim Hotlz Steampunk Stamp, and then applied a layer of UTEE to it.

I then stamped my wings with another Tim Holtz stamp, heat embossed them and fussy cut them out. I adhered them to the center of my heart and then added in some gears. I punched a hole in the crown charm and added a dangling light bulb to it.

Lastly I added in some tissue tape and a few more gears

I am going to submit this to the Simon Says Stamp Have a Heart Challenge. As always thank you so much for stopping by.

  1. This is wonderful, Stacy! I love the lacey background and how it contrasts with the gears! Thanks so much for playing in our "Have a Heart" challenge at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday blog!
