Hello Fall

I am back today with another fall art journal spread. It is just so pretty this time of year it is hard not to celebrate it.

I spritz my page with water then added in some blue, green, and white Distress Stain and let the colors blend together while tilting my page. I love my Distress Stains and don't use them as often as I like.

I then pulled out a round plastic canvas piece to use as a stencil with some Dylusion's spray. I added in some more stenciling and some stamping with some dark orange acrylic paint.

Next I took out some orange, red, and yellow Distress Stain and inked up a plain white piece of cardstock. I then tore that into strips and inked the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

I wanted to add in a bit of texture so I mixed some brown paint with modeling paste and applied that through the Tim Holtz Burlap stencil. I then added some burlap ribbon, my photos and journaling from the week, and some label letter stickers for my "Hello Fall"

I am submitting this to 2 Challenges the  Frilly and Funkie Autumn Colors Challenge and the Craft Hoarders Anonymous Happy Fall Challenge. I hope you are enjoying this time of year as much as I am and as always thanks for stopping by!

  1. Your self dyed papers really make the most of the clear crisp colors of fall. What a fun way to remember the installation of a new driveway. (My home improvements of late, would not make a fun journal page. Maybe a photo of a new electrical socket? I bet though, that you could make a pretty page out of that too.)

Thanks for the glimpse into your colorful journal. I really enjoyed it.
