I am back today with another peek at a week in review page.
Over at Simon Says Stamp it is all about techniques. So I decided to share one of my favorites - textured gesso. Gesso is usually used to prep a surface, but I love using it to add that first layer of texture. I applied one uneven coat of gesso with a palette knife. Then I dried it with a heat gun until the gesso started to bubble. I then applied a send layer through a stencil. Again heat that layer unitl it starts to form bubble. This technique is also nice for those that are impatient. like myself, and hate waiting for the gesso to dry.
I was inspired by Andrea's water stamping technique and used that to finish off my background.
I then added my photo collage and some washi tape to the left side of the spread.
I stamped the days of the week onto scrap paper. I then adhered the rest of my pictures, added my journaling, and a few more stamped words. I had to cover up one pictures, at the bottom of the page, for this post because I was in a top secret meeting that no-one can know about yet.
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you enjoyed my take on the textured gesso technique.
