Bright and Bold

I am back to share a bright and bold art journal layout with you.

I was inspired by the Simon Says Stamp Bold Challenge. I started out with lots of background stamping.

I then watered down some fluorescent acrylic paint and brushed that over the stamps. I did not want a thick layer pf paint covering up my stamps. I spritz the paint with water while it was still wet so it dripped down the page.

I then adhered in my photos from the week and added in some journaling.

I decided the page still needed something and came across some foil tape stars. The stars were originally silver and that did not really go with the page, so I colored them black with a Copic marker.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you enjoyed my Bright, Bold Layout!

  1. I really like how your pages turned out and I very much appreciated the technique pictures and descriptive write-up. How clever to stamp your images first and then add some watered-down paint. Love those drips, too! I think your bold colors look amazing against your photos and it's always a joy to see what clever ideas you've thought up. Great job on this and I'm so glad you shared your talents with us here at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog!
