Spinning

Ever have one of those days where it feels like nothing is getting done and all you are doing is spinning in circles? Well that is how one of my days went this week. I decided to create an art journal spread to get me out of the nothing is right kind of mood.

I started with some Distress Stain and splattered it on my page. I then added in some circle doodles with a black pen.

Next I cut some circles out of black felt, inked up paper towels, and painted canvas. I then attempted some free motion stitching. As I had never done this before it was a learning experience and while I enjoyed myself I need some more practice.

I used alcohol ink, a Tim Holtz scratched stamp, and Stazon ink to color the buttons. Speaking of buttons the challenge over at Craft Hoarders Anonymous is - Buttons.

Lastly I added in my quote - which is a song lyric from Spinning in Circles by Rachael Yamagata.

I was happy with how my page came out and in a much better mood afterwards. Amazing what a little art can do. Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a great day!
