Emboss it

Over at the Eclectic Paperie the challenge is Embossing. I decided to take advantage of the challenge and get a bit more caught up in my art journal.

I used gesso, and Dylusions Ink Sprays for my background. I was going for a more muted color. I then applied some Embossing Paste through a stencil I made.

Next I cut up some Tim Holtz Kraft Resist paper and applied some more embossing paste through some Tim Holtz stencils. I inked up the edges so that they popped off the page a bit more.

The card on this page is a card that my sweet Mother-in-law made me. It even has embossed cardstock on it!

I stamped a few butterflies with the Tim Holtz Papillon Stamp set. I used some embossing powder and then applied some Distress Stickles Dry glitter over them. The layout for this journal spread came from a Page Maps Sketch that the All Things Tim Yahoo Group is using for the August Sketch Challenge.

As always thank so much for stopping by. Be sure to check out the Embossing Challenge for more inspiration.
