The challenge over at Simon Says Stamp is White. This was a difficult one for me. I tend to use lots of color.

I started out with a few layers of gesso and some modeling paste for texture.

I then added in some white acrylic paint through a stencil. It is hard to see, but when the light catches it just right it has a shimmer to it.

Next I stamp various background stamps onto white paper using some black Archival ink. I then tore the edges of the paper and adhered it to my pages. I also added in some white mulberry paper and some homemade washi tape.  I then took some black and fluorescent green acrylic paint and splattered it around. I had to have some color.

Next I added in my pictures and title.

Lastly I added in some black circles using more acrylic black paint and my journaling.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed my layout and use of white.

  3. This is absolutely incredible! I know what you mean about white being a difficult challenge: I am a color-holic myself! But you did wonders with white! There was so much here to look at and I thought your layers were amazing. I love all the materials you put together so skillfully. I also really like how you let your photos be the focal point and how you captured everyday events. I felt very inspired and am so glad you shared this incredible piece of art with us here at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog!
