Summer Fun in...

...Utah. I am back to share a journal page layout I made from our trip to Utah. Such a gorgeous state!

I started out with some gesso, acrylic paint, and distress ink for my background.

I then cut out squares of scrap paper. I rouged up the edges of my pictures and the paper for a more rustic look. I also inked the edges of the paper so it popped off the page a bit more.

Next I adhered the paper sqaures and pictures to my pages. It needed just a bit more of a Summer feel so I fussy cut out some butterflies. While hiking we encountered a great deal of butterflies, I am not sure why we never captured a picture of them.

Lastly I painted, sanded, and inked up some Grunge board letters for the word Utah.

I am submitting this to the Inspiration Emporium Blog Summer Fun challenge. Thank you for stopping by and I hope you are having lots of fun this Summer!
