Create with all your Heart

I have an entire bin filled with Tim Holtz Alcohol inks that I rarely use. So for this art journal spread I decided to pull then out and experiment some.

My journal is made of watercolor paper so in order for the alcohol inks to work I need to add a glossy medium to the pages. I used Heavy Gel Gloss for my first layer. After this was completely dry I squirted on some Alcohol Blending solution and then various colors of alcohol ink. I then tip my page around to blend them together. I also used a can of air to spread the ink around. I repeated this until I was happy with the background.

Next I painted some papers using the Tim Holtz Distress paints.

I then die cut out the hearts form the painted papers and adhered them to my background.

Next I inked up a tag using the same alcohol ink method as the background. I then added my saying to the tag and adhered it to my page.

I am submitting this to the Craft Hoarders Anonymous Tag Your It Challenge. Be sure to pop on over and check out the design teams projects. As always thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day.
