I am enjoying participating in the One Little Word Challenges. It is nice to see everyone's different takes on the same word. This challenge word is Light and here is my take on it.

I started out with some Tissue Tape. I did this to cover up the seam in my journal and decided to apply some to my pages. I then gessoed my page

Next I added in some teal paint and then used some Dylusions Spray with various stencils. Once this was all dry I stamped a few background stamps using Archival ink (forgot to take a picture of this).

I then cut out my own silhouette mask out of a magazine image that I adhered to some cardstock to make it a bit stiffer.

I used the silhouette mask to add in the 3 images. I started with some black acrylic paint and went around the mask. I then added in white paint. I really like how the background still pops through the white paint.

Next I cut out the word Light from some cardstock that I inked with the same sprays and stencils as the background. The word Light reminded me of the "This little Light of Mine" Song, so I wrote the lyrics in the black acrylic paint.

I got the entire page idea from a wonderful artist, Ronda. Thank you for stopping by and be sure to check out Ronda's blog and the One little Word challenge.
