Lessons from the Sea

Over at Unruly Paper the June challenge is "By the Sea". I decided to make a  Lessons from the Sea Zine.

I started with a 11x17 piece of paper and divided it into sections.

Each Section has a different lesson from different Sea creatures.

Some of the creatures I drew, like the fish, sea horse, turtle, and shark.

Some of the creatures are vintage images.

Some of the backgrounds are vintage maps.

Other pages are painted and stamped papers torn to look like waves.

I used some fibers on some of the pages to represent sea weed and coral.

The netting is actually painted cheese cloth.

I used markers, pens, and paint markers to color in all of my sea creatures.

As always thank you so much for stopping by. I hope my Lessons from the Sea Zine has inspired you.
