Happy Father's Day

Wishing all of the dads out there a very Happy Father's Day weekend. I created a little card for my Father-in-law to celebrate the day.

He loves fishing so I knew I was going with a fishing theme. I started with a piece of watercolor paper and Distress Stains. I simply swiped the stains across the wet watercolor paper. When that was dry I used a stencil and white paint to create the look of bubbles.

Next I added some dark brown Neocolor II crayon to the beige card. I wanted to make it a bit more rustic looking.

I printed out a vintage fish image from the Graphic Fairy. I then added some brown archival ink over the top of the image to distress it a bit more. I added in some twine netting and my fish to the top of my stained watercolor paper.

Lastly I stamped in the sentiment with archival ink. Here is what the inside of the card looks like.

I am submitting this to the Frilly and Funkie For all Our Fathers Challenge. Thank you for stopping by and I hope you enjoy the day whatever you are doing.
