The House that Built Me

As Mother's Day is right around the corner I am in a nostalgic mood. My childhood was full of great times at my Grandparents house. We lived very close to them and spent most weekends there. I can still picture the the house full of laughter and love.

I started my page by smooshing around some white gesso. It is a bit hard to see, but this gives the page a nice crackle like texture. I then measured where my pictures would go and added drips of acrylic paint.

I went around the picture edges with some blue acrylic paint to break them up a bit.

Next I added the saying with stamped and die cut letters. I grunged up the edges of the stamped letters and added some paint to the die cut ones.

I am submitting this to the Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes Challenge. Thank you for stopping by and taking a peek at my childhood memories.
