Spring Goddess

Spring has truly finally arrived here. The weather is pretty nice and the flowers and trees are in full bloom. I decided to create a Spring Goddess to celebrate this time of year.

I started out with 4 colors of acrylic paint and blended them together.

Next I drew my goddess out onto Gessoed deli paper. I could have drawn her right onto the background, but was afraid that the acrylic paint would be a bit hard to cover completely. I then cut her out, adhered her to my page, and added in her hair with some brown, red, and white acrylic paint.

I then used some painted deli paper and some monprinted paper form the Geli plate to die cut lots and lots of flowers out of.

Next I inked up the edges of the paper flowers and drew around the edges of the deli paper flowers. This made them pop out a bit more. I then layered then all together and added a pearl dot to the center.

Lastly I added in my saying with paint markers and pens.

I am submitting this to the Simon Says Die Cut Challenge.  As always thank you very much for stopping by. I hope you are enjoying this time of year wherever you are.
