Transparent Layers

I am back today with a weekly page spread using transparent layers. The inspiration came from the Simon Says Stamp blog challenge - Transparent.

I started with a layer of sheet music and Tim Holtz tissue tape.

Next I added some deli paper that I had printed on using my Gelli Plate.

I also added some packing tape that I transferred a magazine image onto using the very talented Journal Artista's technique. Be sure to check out the how to video here. You can see this on the right hand side of the picture below - it is a bit shiny.

I then wrote my quote and journaling onto some tissue paper that I cut into circles and adhered that to my page along with my pictures and ephemera from the week. I went around the tissue paper with a black paint marker to make it pop out a bit more.

And there you have it my finished page spread. I really like how the first layer is peeking through even after all of the layers on top. As always thanks for stopping by and be sure to stop on over to Simon Says Stamp for more inspiration.
