My sister and I

I am back today with a mixed media page about my connection to my sister. We are such opposites, but the same in many ways. I enjoy spending time with her and despite are differences she will always be in my heart.

This is a lesson from Finnabair as part of the Lifebook class. Therefore I can't share all of the details. I do want to share the various layers. Layer one is some Gesso and modeling paste.

As many of you know we are temporarily living in a small apartment so I am short on embellishments and used diecuts instead. I have been missing my dies for some time and decided to pull them out of storage for this layout.

Layer two consists of a black and white photo of myself, lots of diecuts, some string, and some mesh.

The next layer is some metal embellishments that I happened to have on hand.

Next is making all of the previous layers white.

Now onto to adding some color and the picture of my sister. I used Fresh Lime, Squeezed Orange, and Vibrant Turquoise Dyluions Sprays. The frame around my sister is built up with 4 layers of a die cut frame.

The last layer is adding some shading and some shimmer highlights. This is subtle, but really makes a difference.

I am submitting this to the Frilly and Funkie Neglected Die Challenge, since all of my dies that I used have been neglected for about 4 months now. This was a fun challenge and a fun page to make. Thank so much for stopping by.
