Lucky or blessed

Do you ever have those days, moments, weeks where you look around and you think wow, I am really lucky. Last week was one of those weeks. Everything just kind of fell into place and it was such a fantastic week. I think in those moments it is in fact not luck, but a blessing. I decided I had to do a 2 page spread for my week in review in my art journal.

I started out with 2 white pages and used Peeled Paint, Peacock Feathers, and Gathered Twigs Distress Ink to go around the edges. I then used some peacock Distress Stain to in some splashes and drips. Last step was to add in a bit of texture with modeling paste, Walnut Distress Stain, and a stencil.

I then inked up some paper doilies with the same ink. I cut some circles out of patterned scrapbook paper and then went around the edges with some Gelatos.

I then made some grid paper using the Gathered Twigs Distress Ink and a grid stamp. I added my saying to this along with some journaling.

I wanted the word blessed to stand out so I went around it with a glitter pen and added another piece of the grid paper I made.

I am going to submit this to 2 challenges: Simon Says Stamp Challenge Lucky and the S.W.A.T. sketch challenge, which is where my layout for the 2 pages came from.

Thank you very much for stopping by. I hope you are having a fantastic week and it is filled with many wonderful moments.
