Happy Valentine's Day

I am here with a little card I made for "The King of my Heart". I was inspired by the Eclectic Paperie Altered Playing Card Challenge.

I started with a plain old playing card, of course it is the King of hearts. I then sanded it down a bit, collaged over it with stamped tissue paper, and stained it.

I then cut hearts out of scrap paper and grunge board. I painted the grunge board heart white and then sanded it down a bit and added some black stain to the edges.

I also added some black stain to the edges of the entire card and distressed the edges of all of the paper embellishments. :Last step was to add the sentiment. I did this with a Tim Holtz metal piece that I grunged up a bit more.

I am also submitting this to the SEI Rustic Valentine Challenge and the Fussy and Fancy Valentine Challenge. As always thank you so very much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful Valentine's Day.
