Collage Flowers

Well we are having yet another winter cold blast. So I decided to add some spring to my art journal.

My background is 2 colors of bleeding tissue paper and some white gesso. I love how the tissue gives some added color and texture.

I dripped some watered down blue acrylic paint down the page and also spattered it around. I also used some bubble wrap as a stamp with the blue paint.

Next step was the flowers. I cut up magazine pages into flower petals and used faces from the Graphic Fairy as my flower centers. For the stems I rolled up some patterned paper and inked up the edges.

Lastly, to make the flowers pop off the page I loosely sketched around them with a black pen. I am submitting this to the Frilly and Funky Bloomin challenge.

Thank you very much for stopping by. I hope this makes you think of bright Spring flowers.
