A Patchwork of Love

I am participating in a Valentine's Day Post card swap at Art is for the Creative Mind Yahoo Group. I do not have a whole lot of stamps here (most of them of in temporary storage for now) and so I had to improvise a bit.

The only fitting stamp I had was part of a saying form a Unity Stamp set. This is where I came up with the Patchwork idea. I started by cutting out triangles form various patterned paper. I then glued those onto a piece of paper in a patchwork pattern.

Next I cut out my hearts from the patchwork and then added stitching with a black pen.

I used Gelatos, modeling paste, Distress Ink, and Tattered Angels Glimmer mist along with some Tim Holtz stencils for my background. I left quite a bit of white space on my background so that the hearts would really stand out.

I am going to submit this to the Simon Says Stamp Love Notes Challenge and the Paper Girls Love your Love challenge.  Be sure to stop by both blogs for a chance to win some fantastic prizes. As always thank you for stopping by.
