I am here today with an art journal page I from the Lifebook class.
You were to pick a few things that had some meaning to you. First I went with some flowered paper napkins to resemble nature. Next I found this poem by W.H. Murray on the Root Journal Project. Something about the poem just really spoke to me. I am also really into drawing faces these days so I added an eye. Not sure the eye really went, but I decided to go with it anyways.
Next step was painting the background. I decided to go with similar colors found in the napkin.
Some stenciling was added next. I really like how all of the layers poke through.
And lastly I added my tag, the word commit, and some twine to emphasize my word. I am going to submit this to the Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes with Twine or String Challenge.
Thank you for stopping by. If you have time be sure to check out the Roots Journal Project and the Simon Says Stamp Challenge.
