Book of Days Thrive Spread

I am super excited to be taking a class with the wonderfully talented Efyy Wild. Her book of days class is a weekly art journaling class. You can see more information on her website here. I went in a slightly different direction with my page.

I wanted to use a bold color for my page and used a combination of Dylusions yellow ink sprays. I then added some brown paint around the edges and dripped it down the page.

I was drawn to this image I found in a magazine. She looked like she was looking ahead to the future and had a calm, hopeful expression.

In Book of Days (or BOD) Effy encourages us to pick a word for the year. I choose Thrive. I want to really take every moment and thrive in it. I want to conquer new challenges, overcome fears, be present in each moment, and really be happy. That is what thriving means to me.

I found the saying on pinterest and thought it really went well with my page and thoughts. I am entering this spread in 2 challenges: InkSpirational Color Challenge and S.W.A.T. one word challenge
