Winter Wonderland

I know it is Spring, but since some of us are still under inches of snow I thought I would attempt to celebrate this and make a few winter wonderland scrapbook pages..

My sister and I try to take a girls ski trip once or twice a year to New York. It is just beautiful and when you are all bundled up, skiing down a mountain, the snow and cold weather don't bother us at all.

The pictures don't quite do the slopes justice. The snow was really coming down on this particular trip and the trees were just covered. It looked like we were in one of those shake up snow globes!

My husband has nicknamed us the "water melon sisters" because of my bright pink ski pants and her green jacket. At least you can easily spot us.

I inked up all of the edges of the paper frames, mats, and snow flakes with Tumbled Glass and Faded Jeans Distress Ink to make sure they popped off of the page.

Since this was a girls trip I added some girly bling to the pages with crystals and pearls.

I used some grunge board letters for the titles. I inked the letters with Picket Fence Distress Stain. I then inked the edges with Tumbled Glass and Faded Jeans Distress ink.

I am submitting this to the Scrapbookers Paradise Add some Banners Challenge. I free handed the banner pieces and then cut them out and distress the edges a bit. I also inked the edges with the same Distress Ink.

As always thank you very much for stopping by. I hope whatever weather you have in your area you are able to enjoy it!
