I am a bit late posting my Valentines Day card, but I figure why not celebrate all weekend long!
I created this card for one of my closest friends. We always sign our emails and such with XOXO. I thought the scrap piece of paper from the Tim Holtz Seasonal Paper stash was perfect for the sentiment.
The background is a piece of white cardstock embossed with the Tim Holtz Swirls embossing folder. I then inked the raised swirls with Black Soot Distress Ink.
The hearts are grungeboard. I colored them red using the Aged Mahogany Distress Stain and for a bit of sparkle I added Barn Door Distress Stickles.
I added a piece of trimmings to the side of the card and some heart bling to the bottom to finish the card off.
My gift to my friend was a gift certificate and of course I did not want to just throw that in the card. I made a matching sleeve for the gift card using the Tim Holtz Pocket Envelope Die.
I am submitting this to two wonderful challenges: The Frilly and Funky Lacy Heartsy Valentine Challenge and the Scrapbooker's Blog Playing in Paradise #104 - Add a Little Sparkle Challenge.
Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a day full of Love!
