The gift of Sharing

I just love this time of year. The festive music, the chill in the air, the cheery lights, and of course the gift giving are just a few things that make this a wonderful season. I love how everyone in the art and craft blogging world is busy making gifts and cards, and sharing all of their creativity with everyone else.  When Hetty shared her creative Christmas cards I was inspired to get out my Mini Blueprint Stamp set and try my hand at a similar card.

The card base is from the Tim Holtz Market district line. I did not want to cover up too much of the card base so I simply embossed some red cardstock with the snow flurries embossing folder. I then went over the raised areas with  gold and silver paint dabbers.

I used the Ink Palette: Distress technique from the Compendium of Curiosities Volume 2 to color each of the stamped images. This is the latest challenge over at L3 Studios.

Next I roughed up and inked the edges of the stamped images. then I just mounted them onto some cardstock and pop dotted them up off of the card.

These cards were so easy to make and yet I was really happy with the way they turned out.

Thank you for stopping by. I hope you are enjoying this wonderful time of the year as much as I am!
