While searching around the Internet the other day looking for ideas for a mini album, I came across a Ustream Video by Laura Denison In the introduction of the video she was talking about the Pink Minis Silent Auction. All proceeds from the silent auction will go to the Susan G. Komen for a Cure Foundation through their Passionately Pink for a Cure event program. This was something I knew I had to participate in. I decided to make a mini album using Laura's Double Dutch Binding system. Check out her blog for a tutorial on how to do this binding.
The cover of the album has a frame to place a small photo in or an embellishment. Lots of hints of pink throughout the album so I am also submitting this to the Altered Pages Think pink Challenge.
All of the pages have some interactive elements to them. This page has an accordion fold out.
Some pages have a side pocket with a tag that can be used for journaling or as a photo mat.
There is a large pocket between each of the pages with a decorative mat that allows for even more space to place photos and journaling. For some added interest each of these mats have a decorative edge.
There is plenty of room to place a photo behind the tags on the pocket pages or you could leave this space blank to show off the gorgeous paper and the clipped decorative corners.
Here are a few more interactive elements. The small envelope opens up with a journaling card inside it. the photo mat on the next page flips up to reveal even more areas for journaling or photos.
I hope you enjoyed this mini album and I hope you will go see the Pink Minis website. You can start bidding on items on October 29th. This is a wonderful cause that hits close to home and I am very thankful to be able to participate in this.
