Why I have been neglecting my blog

Boy I am not sure where the time has gone, but my poor, poor, poor neglected blog. I have been very busy with a few swaps for the All Things Tim Yahoo Group. I spent most of the past weekend up to my ears in 660 pages for a Summer Travel book swap!!
This is our spare bedroom and it is a good thing we have one. You can't even walk into the door without having to step over stacks of pages!

I am assembling all of the books and that is a lot of holes to punch for the binding (I am using wooden ruler, bolts, and wing nuts).

The books are coming out great. So thick and chunky. I have had to add some extra spacers in so the pages will flip, so even more holes to punch. All of the work is worth it when you see the books come together.

So hopefully I will find some more time this week to post, but for now it is back to hole punching and binding. Thanks for stopping by!

I can't believe that you went straight from the travel book swap to the Halloween Chaos swap and started the Christmas Patchwork swap....... girl, do you EVER take a break or slow down for a minute or two?? I feel bad for saying I am "over whelmed" compared to all you have going on!!

  11. Stacy, you did an amazing job on the books....I love mine! I showed it to three of my crafty girlfriends this weekend and they were lovin' it too! What did you use for the stretchy cord on the closure? It works great for such a thick book. I am in awe of the amount of time and effort you put in to these HUGE swaps...a labor of love for sure! Thank you SO much!
