Did you know July is National Ice Cream Month? Well, to honor the month I
decided to make a cute ice cream shop card. I found the idea here on
you-tube and just wanted to put my twist on it.
I cut a white piece of cardstock using the Brackets On the Edge Die for my
awning. Of course I had to add stripes. I used 1/2" wide Eclipse Masking
tape and masked every 1/2" off. I then went over the entire masked area
with Picked Raspberry Distress ink. When I peeled the tape off stripes were
revealed.
The base of the little shop is again a piece of white Cardstock inked with
Picked Raspberry Distress Ink and cut with the Brackets On The Edge Die. For
some added texture I embossed it using the Bricked Embossing Folder.
The ice cream cones are cut out of the Cricut. The cone is stamped with a
stamp from Tim Holtz's Bitty Grunge set and then heat embossed with Brushed Corduroy
Distress Embossing Powder. The white swirls in the ice cream are stickled to add
a bit of shimmer to the card.
Thank you for stopping by! Now go have yourself a nice big sundae and
celebrate the month with me.

Great idea for the stripes on the awning.
