Over at Frilly and Funky they are having a Kraft and Twine challenge for a chance to win a gift certificate to The Funkie Junkie Boutique. For the Kraft part I used some Kraft Glassine Paper and some Kraft colored corrugated cardboard. The Glassine I wrinkled up and then added some Peeled Paint, Black Soot, and Walnut Stain Distress stain. I attached a Tim Holtz ideology piece to my twine. I added some white paint dabber to the charm to pop out the word and the details.
For my letters I used Tim Holtz's Alpha Parts and added color to them with Lettuce and Cloudy Blue Paint Dabbers. They are mounted on grunge board that has been distressed with Silver and Gold Paint Dabbers, some sanding, and Black Soot Distress Stain.
The frame around the picture was made from recycled plastic following the technique used in Compendium of Curiosities Volume II. This just so happens to be the challenge over at L3 Studio.
Thanks for stopping by and reading this far!

ReplyDeleteYour Father's Day photo card looks amazing! I love how you repurposed some packing to create such a lovely "frame" around your picture. The corrugated paper really is a touch "masculine" touch behind the picture. I love the twine wrapped around the frame. That also adds a nice masculine feel.
