A Fun Girly Grad Card

This weeks challenge over at L3 Studio is Tissue Wrapped Flowers from the Compendium of Curiosities Volume II.  This was really a fun and easy technique. I decided to make a Graduation card for the challenge. I used the new Distress Summer Inks on the background and love the bright fun colors.

I added a bit of texture to the background with the Bubble Wrap embossing folder. To make the bubbles pop a bit more I went back over them with some yellow ink.

The school colors of the Graduate are Purple and Yellow - so of course the tissue wrapped flower had to be inked with Dusty Concord. The center of the flower is a material called crinoline and is inked with Squeezed Lemonade Distress Ink. The numbers are cut out of Grunge paper and covered with a scrap of yellow flower paper I had lying around.

So thank you for stopping by. Please hop on over the L3 Studio and participate in the challenge for a chance to win a gift Certificate for the Funkie Junkie.
