A "Reel" Good Time

This week challenge over at L3 Studio is Brushless Water Color. I decide to use this technique to create a Father's Day card. I had a "reel" good time using this technique from A Compendium of Curiosities, Vol. 2.
My father-in-law has a love for his family and fishing. So I created the card using pictures of my husband when he was a child and his dad fishing.  I glued the pictures to Glass charms and Fragments. To see how i made the Compass you can go here.

I also used leftover plastic packaging, cut it to the size of the fragment, glued it over the fragment, and created a shaker on top of one of the pictures. The shaker has some sand and sea glass in it. I took metal Foil tape and inked it with Alcohol Ink and then placed it around the edges of the charms.

The background was created using the Brushless Water Color Technique. I died some Cheese cloth using Vintage Photo Distress stain and adhered it to the background. Hopefully this looks like a fishing net in water.
Stop on over to L3 Studio to participate in the challenge for a chance to win a gift certificate from Eclectic Paperie. I am also entering this in the Simon Says Stamp and Show One for the Boys Challenge. Thanks for stopping by.
