Beautiful Blooms

There is just something about this time of year that makes me want to use flowers everywhere. Here are a few projects I have been working on with lots of flowers everywhere.
This bottle was a tequila bottle that was just asking to be altered. I colored the bottle with various colors of alcohol ink and added a lot of Prima embellishments to it.
The top of the bottle is made from some died burlap and lace with Prima say it in Crystals Border Lace around it.
The three small Prima roses started out white and were died to match the rest of the bottle using Perfect Pearls.
The vintage lace around the bottom of the bottle was died using Tea Die Distress stain to match the Prima lace at the top of the bottle. Speaking of lace I am entering this in the Unruly Paper Arts Use lace challenge.
Next is a scrapbook page with quite a few layers and texture.

The background was created with Black Soot, Peacock Feathers, Tattered Rose, and Shabby Shutters Distress Ink. I added Tattered Rose, Shabby Shutters, and Broken China Distress Stains to create the drips at the bottom. I then used Tim Holtz's Shabby French and Bitty Grunge stamp sets along with Red Lead Paper Statement Buttons stamp  to add some more texture to the background. i really liked the way it looked and hated to cover it all up.

I used several of the cardboard packaging from the Prima embellishments to layer along with a piece of  stained burlap and painted corrugated cardboard.

As you can see more Prima flowers are used along with Prima Pebbles and tiles. I used the Tim Holtz Festive Greenery die to cut out the silver foil swirls. The leaves are stamped with a stamp from the Dylusions Tallulah Trip stamp set and colored with Patina Green Perfect Pearls.

My last project is another scrapbook page using you guessed it more flowers. This is a two page spread that I decided to re-do as the original looked good, but needed something.

The flowers used are once again Prima flowers.  The leaves are Tim Holtz's metal Foliage Idea-ology. The bird and bird cage are die cut out of grunge board using the Tim Holtz Caged Bird Die. I then embossed the cage to add some texture to it. I used stickles on the bird for some more sparkle.

Here are a few close ups of more embellishments used. I really like how the Prima Say it in Pearls embellishment adds a bit of bling to the page.

I used the Tim Holtz ticket die and stamped the bird on the ticket using a Prima clear stamp set and Distress Markers.

I hope you enjoyed these projects as much as I enjoyed making them. Thank you for stopping by and reading all the way through this post!
