Grungy Monday 24 Perfect Distress

Running out of Time this week to get my entry done for the Grungy Monday Challenge over at Studio L3  I am also in the middle of making a book up and decided to make a page for the book for this weeks challenge. To see this weeks challenge in action go check out Tim's video
Now back to my page. The background was done using Bundled Sage Distress Stain  and some white acrylic Paint Dabber.

The Friends word was cut out of Grunge Paper using my Cricut. I then applied Modge Podge to it and adhered it to so Graphic 45 Steampunk Debutante paper. I let this dry then get out around it and sanded up the edges a bit

The flowers were cut out of Glassine paper using Tim Holtz Tattered Florals Die. I then inked them up a bit using Distress Stains,

The swirls were added using Black Soot Distress Ink and Heirloom Gold Perfect Pearls. The Perfect Pearls really add a very nice shimmer to the page.

As I said earlier it is going into a book I am making that I am hoping to share next week. Right now it just looks like a jumbled mess with sticky notes everywhere.

Check back next week to see the finished project. Happy Grunging!

  1. Didn't know the cricut would cut the grunge board. Any tips on settings?

  2. It is actually Grunge Paper - slightly thinner and I cut it twice on the cricut - just the normal blade on the hightest settings

  4. Your Perfectly Distressed book page is beautiful, Stacy! You did a great job with the technique and made such a lovely homage to friendship. I'm so glad you joined in for GM24!
